MDS Birthday Tradition 40

Okay so I'm a bit late since my birthday was back on February 5th but I at least took this picture yesterday so it was still February. I have cut my hair several times recently and it is back to where I like it. I didn't actually take this picture for this purpose but since it turned out good, why not.

I used the One Big Sale-A-Bration CD for My Digital Studio. It comes with 5 stamp brush sets, 12 Designer Series Paper Patterns, 6 Ribbons and 5 Brads.

Postage Envelope

This is the Petite Pocket Bigz TM XL Die. I decided to make an envelope for postage stamps.

I changed my mind on the "STAMPS" being in that spot but it was too late. I think on the next one I will do a "To:" and a "From:" in my handwriting and put "STAMPS" on the other side or not at all since I know what it's for.

This picture gives you a better idea of the size of this envelope. Super cute! I love little stuff.

I used the following Sale-A-Bration items to make this project:
Fresh Vintage Stamp Set
Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper

Also used:
Postage Punch
1" Square Punch (manipulated to cut off unwanted edges)
Calendar Alphabet & Numbers

Sending Many Thanks

This is another one of my creations. I'm pretty sure. I see so many cards it's hard to tell anymore.

I started by stamping the flowers from this stamp while blocking out the word "sweet" that usually sits right where I put "Sending Many Thanks". Then I decided to use the clear inner plastic lid from the Staz On TM pad. It kind of gave it a chalky outline look. Then I colored in the flowers using the Stampin' Pastels TM. From there I took the colors of the flowers and picked the background, card and ribbon. Voila!

Stamp Sets: Up in the Air (Occasions Mini Hostess), Petite Pairs
Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Blushing Bride, Pale Plum

Tip: I highly recommend using plain old tape to adhere the ribbon on the back of the card. I have found it to be the best way to keep it where it belongs. Tape it good.

Candy Conversations

This is a fun stamp single from the back of the Occasions Mini Catalog. I colored the hearts with Stampin Write TM markers and then punched them out with the little heart punch. Then I covered the hearts with a post-it note since they were stained but clean and could still leave a mark. I stamped the words in StazOn and then removed the post-it and stamped it. The bottom of the card was done with the heart Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I squished it too much again so next time I'll make an adjustment to my layers before running it through the Big Shot.

Stamp Set: Candy Conversations
Colors: Regal Rose, Basic Black, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade

Happy Birthday to ME!

Yesterday was my birthday. I hit the big 4-0 and also happen to get lots of birthday cards! Finally! I love getting cards in the mail. This first one is from my friend Kris. What a fun card huh? She posted the details on her blog so you can click on her name to get there if you'd like.

Here is the inside. There's a cute little pocket with this tag inside. Love it!

This is another stamped card that I got from my friend Deb. Isn't it cute?!

Thanks Kris and Deb for sending me a hand stamped card! Of course I also appreciate all of the store bought cards I got too. My friend Sue (Deb's sister), my Aunt, my health insurance, Stampin' Up! and my sister sent me about 6 different cards. Hopefully I didn't leave anyone out. So far it's great to be 40!

A-maze-ing

Tonight I went to my friend Jenny's Open House. She lives about 30 minutes away but it was so worth going and spending time with her and her friends for some stamping time. This is what we made with the set Totally A-maze-ing which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The maze toy card on the right fits in the heart envelope on the left.

We also made this. A very simple notepad cover. This is made using the Fresh Vintage stamp set, Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon. These items are available for FREE with each $50 purchase. See the Sale-A-Bration Catalog for details.

Thanks Jenny!

Sale-A-Bration Loot!

Today I got this! FINALLY! Since I've moved from UT to PA, it takes much much much longer for my Stampin' Up! packages to arrive. This is a tough thing to get used to since I lived only 30 minutes from SU! headquarters. I got things fast!

It's okay though... because I still got all this fabulous stuff! I spent $200 and therefore was considered a Level 1 Hostess. I got the FREE tote bag! and for every $50 purchased I got a Sale-A-Bration selection so I picked the Fresh Vintage stamp set, the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack and the Kindness Matters stamp set. I also got FREE merchandise so I picked the Level 1 Hostess Set "Up in the Air" from the Occasions Mini Catalog and a few other things.
