The Open Sea - My Shoe Box Swap Convention 2013

Today is the day that Convention 2013 begins for me. I signed up for a Shoe Box Swap late in the day to start things off. I made 15 of these completed and 14 ready for stamping and assembly. It can be a little confusing but to save time, they have us only stamp 1/2 of the cards and they swap the rest while we're stamping. The term Shoe Box means that everything you need to make the card is right there for you in a small box and you get up and move to the next spot or sometimes swap the entire box and stay put.

The inside of this card has a Whisper White base with "Not just a year older, but a year better" stamped in Cherry Cobbler and an anchor in the lower left stamped in Night of Navy. I love the look of the stamps stacked on one another to create a scene.

  • Stamp Sets: The Open Sea, Bring on the Cake
  • Colors: Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
  • Embellishments: 1/8" Mini Brads Silver, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine
