My birthday was last Friday (the 5th). I had my heart set on getting a decent photo of myself so that I could make this fabulous page! I’m just wondering where the time went though because I was headed for bed over an hour ago. It’s addicting. Good thing I’m pleased with the results.
Purchase the My Digital Studio before March 31st and receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration item!

Do you know the trick to get your background paper to the right proportions? You load it on a punched area and then click on the re-size button to zoom in or out. It is my favorite MDS find so far. Don’t forget to click on the image for the full view.

The majority of my childhood photos were on slides that I had transferred to digital a few years back. This one in particular was really light so I was very excited to find that the Photo Effects tool on MDS was able to darken it up quite nicely. I love this picture and I am quite pleased with the way this turned out.

I thought it was time that I play with my MDS again. I have found that the best way to become familiar with the program is to try to create a layout by copying from someone else so I cut out some ideas from my old Stampin’ Success publications prior to 2007 and taped them into a notebook. Now I have a little reference book.
I met Grace when Joe (my brother) took me to see Seven Springs during my vacation to PA. This was taken a day or two after I left during their training. I love the beautiful fall leaves in the background combined with the crisp morning air of winter approaching. Brrr.

Before I left on my vacation to PA, I loaded a few photos onto a flash drive just in case I had time to play with My Digital Studio. It wasn’t until I was on my 2nd plane ride home that I finally decided to play since the battery ran out on my iPod. We were “packed in like sardines” as put by the man beside me. I was between two large men, a really tall skinny one and a tall burly one. Not much room but enough to use my laptop and scrapbook with MDS! I worked on 2 projects in particular that I created without templates which is a big deal for me. So what do you think?

I did my best to copy the layout from the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog on page 113. I’m very limited on photographs but I think it turned out great. Amazing how my pants match the bird’s tail! That was so not on purpose! Give it a try, find a layout or try to copy a card right out of the catalog. It really helps to learn how to use the My Digital Studio features.
